1. Barchart for Excel offers access to hundreds of fundamental data fields for US, Canadian, European and Australian stocks.  To start, click Fundamentals in the Barchart ribbon.

2. Let's start by entering a ticker symbol, like IBM.  Then under Parameters you can choose from several types of fundamental data, including Corporate Actions, Company Profiles or Financials.

3. Let's select Corporate Actions and then Dividends.  You will also see you can select data for Earnings, Splits and All.  We'll fetch the default amount of data or you can set various parameters, such as the last 5 periods.  Click Insert.

4. And here is the dividend data for IBM, presented in a time series.  With Barchart for Excel, up to 10 years of fundamental data is available.

5. Let's take a look at Company Profile data.  Click on Fundamentals in the Barchart ribbon, then select Company Profile.

6. Company Profile includes over 50 data fields.  If you want to limit the results, click Edit Fields.  You can uncheck an entire category like Key Statistics or individual fields like Annual Sales.  Let's leave them all checked, then click Insert.

7. Here is Company Profile data for IBM, instantly inserted into Excel.

8. Let's add some additional companies to the results so you can compare them.  We'll enter Microsoft and Dell.  Then click insert.

9. And here is the data for IBM, Microsoft and Dell.  From here you can use native Excel functionality for additional analysis or to create reports.

10. Financial statement data for Balance Sheets, Income Statements and Cash Flows is also available through Barchart for Excel.  From the Fundamentals window, select Financials under Parameters.

11. Let's use IBM again and then select Income Statement.  And, we'll set the Fetch setting to Last equals 10 which will return 10 periods of data.  So in this case 10-years. Click Insert.

12. And, here are the results for 10-years of Income Statement data for IBM.

13. Let's do the same for Balance Sheet.  Open the Fundamentals window, enter IBM and select Balance Sheet.  Then click Insert.

14. Here are the results for 10-years of Balance Sheet data for IBM.  You can now take your analysis to the next level using native Excel functionality.

15. You can also add Fundamental data as fields when inserting quotes.  Click the Quote menu.

16. Let's enter IBM and Microsoft.  Then click Edit Fields at the bottom of the window.  You will see options for Key Stats, Per Share Info and more.  Select Market Cap and Annual Dividend Yield, then click Insert.

17. Market Cap and Annual Dividend have now been added to your data table.  With Fundamental data fields, you can sort and analyze your data with dozens of additional fields.
