1. The first step is to open Google Drive and click Open on the file you want

2. If edits have been made by a colleague, you will see See new changes. Click here to see changes since you last viewed this document

3. Click on the arrow to see individual edits

4. Click again for the Next edit

5. Click See full history

6. Notice the different colours for each user account.

7. Click on a user to see their edits

8. Scroll through Previous edits

9. Click the other user account

|
10. Click the arrow to see their edits.

11. Click More actions

12. Click Name this version

13. Type a name for this version

16. Click Back again to return to the main document

17. Return to your doc later to find Last edit was seconds ago

18. With your mouse, hover users to see what edits were made and by whom

|
19. Click the named version to remind yourself what it was like

20. Click Restore this version

21. Click Restore

22. We have restored the previous version but we haven't lost it or deleted it!

23. Click to Open the version history

|
24. With your mouse, scroll and select this version

25. Click Restore this version

|
26. Click Restore

27. Click again to Open the version history

28. With your mouse, hover the top version, 12:45

29. Click More actions

|
30. Click Name this version

|
31. Type the version Name

|
32. Toggle to Only show named versions

|
33. Click Back

34. That's it. You're done. You've found your way around the awesome version history giving you great audit access to all documents.
