1. The first step is to open your google sheet that you want to be updated on and click Tools

2. Click Notification rules

3. Click Any changes are made

4. Click Email - straight away

This will generate an email to your account each time a value is changed by any user so you know when something has been updated.

5. Click Save

7. For column H, click Data

8. Click Data validation

9. Click to add your fields

10. Click List of items

11. Click Enter items separated by a comma

13. Now click Add-ons

14. With your mouse, hover over FormMule or go to Get add-ons below to install it.

16. This is set to run if someone submits a google form that is feeding the sheet.  You can toggle that or time triggers on and off.

Click Next

17. Click and change send condition

18. Select Deposit Paid so it will only run once the person has been marked as paid.

19. Doubleclick and make the send condition match the data validation from your sheet "Yes"

20. Click Save template settings

21. Click Next: Edit templates

22. Add fields from the right to your template, add your text in body-input

23. Click and add an email address to cc or bcc

24. Click Save and preview

25. Click the arrows to see if the data will merge as expected

26. As we can see here, nothing is working because the Deposit Paid column has not been completed in the sheet.

27. Click Close

28. Click the drop down and select Yes

29. repeat by clicking on Yes

30. Click Add-ons

31. With your mouse, hover highlight

32. Click Preview and send all

33. Scroll undefined and click Send now

34. Here we can see that the email was sent to those who paid but not those who have not.

35. You're done. Now you can get or send alerts for changes in a Google Sheets, as well as confirmation emails.
