1. The first step is to open your Google Sheet.

2. Click on the sheet tab you want to import data to

3. Click the first cell A2

4. Type = to enter a formula

5. Type import, scroll down through the choices and select IMPORTRANGE

6. You need the URL of the sheet you are bringing the data from. Click on that sheet tab

7. Copy the URL from the omnibox

8. Click =IMPORTRANGE and enter " first inside the brackets ("

9. Paste the copied URL after the ("

Step 9 image

10. Close the brackets ) and add ",

11. Type " after the comma, then the exact name of the sheet tab you are collecting data from, add a ! and the RANGE A2:A to import any data in that column, then add "
Now close the brackets ) and press ENTER

12. Click A2

13. Click Allow access

14. Doubleclick to fit column width to data

15. Now we have imported the range check it matches the source sheet.

16. To do that, click Divisional Teams

17. To add new data, enter in column A

18. Now click back to Employment Details

19. Scroll down and see Gary Marston has been added

20. That's it. You're done. You've imported a range from one sheet to another.
