1. A Multi-Short Answer question is used when asking students to list some out of a larger pool of possible answers.  For example, list 3 of the academic schools at C of C.

2. The first step to create a  Multi-Short Answer question is to open the course Homepage and click Grades.

3. Click Quizzes

4. Click the arrow next to the appropriate quiz.

5. Click Edit

6. Click Create New.

7. Click New Question.

8. Click the type of question you want to add. In this case click Multi-Short Answer.

9. Click the Title Box if you would like to create an identifying title for the question.

10. Click Points and set the point value of the question.

11. Click the Question Text box and either paste or type in the question.

12. If you want to use an image as part of your question, click Insert an Image.

13. Upload the desired image.

14. If you use an image, click and update the Alternative Text Box.

15. Click Input Boxes and select the number of answers students will be asked to give.

16. Click Rows and Columns to adjust how you want the answer boxes to be displayed.

17. Click Number of answers to add if you need more spaces to add possible answers.

18. Scroll down and fill in each possible answer. Here I have listed the 7 academic schools at C of C.

19. Click and adjust the weighted percent for each answer. Here, since students are being asked to name 3 of the 7, each correct answer is worth 33.33%

20. Select whether answers should be Case Insensitive, Case Sensitive, or a Regular Expression.

21. Click Preview to see how the question will appear to students.

22. Scroll and click Done

23. If you are going to create another question similar to this, you can click Save and Copy. Click Save and New to create a different Multi-Short Answer questions. Otherwise click Save.

24. Click Save and Close.
That's it. You're done.
