1. This tutorial will show you how to use Oria to reserve books and request materials from closed collections.

3. Start by entering a book title in the search field

Click the search button to execute the search.

4. In this example we are looking for the book "Basic pathology".

The book is available in multiple editions. S
imilar editions are grouped together for easy navigation.

5. Click the link located at the bottom of the item in the results list to view the available editions.

6. The most recent edition of the book is  marked as available.

7. The edition from 2013 is not available and labeled as checked out.

8. In the section labeled "Get It" you will see a window showing all the libraries that own the book.

9. You can see that the Medical Library (UBBMED) owns 2 copies of the book. However, none of them are available on the shelf.

10. The status column shows the estimated date when a book can be returned or renewed.

You can join the waiting list to borrow the book once a copy is returned.

11. To reserve a loaned book, you must sign in to Oria. You can use the Sign in link located in the "Get It" section.

12. Then choose the appropriate login for you.

13. When you are logged in, you will see the available ordering options in the "Get it" section. 

Click the "Requestbutton to proceed.

14. A request form will appear. Here you must choose which library you want to pick up the book from. 

Choose the pick-up location that is on your campus.

15. You can specify a date after which you no longer need the book. 

Optionally, you can add a comment, for example if you are a distance student and would like the book to be sent to you.

16. Click Request to send the reservation.

17. You will receive a message that the order has been registered and which place you have in the queue

When the book has arrived at the library, you will receive a pick-up notification via email or text message.

18. To see an overview of your requests and reservations, click on your name in the top menu and select My account.

19. Go to the Requests tab for a detailed overview of your active requests. 

20. In the overview, you can delete requests that you no longer need. 

To cancel a request, click Cancel.

21. Then click "Cancel it" to complete the cancellation process.

23. Not all books are available on the open shelves. 

Books with locations such as "Mag", "Magasin", or "Depot" must be collected by library staff.

24. If you want to borrow a book that is in a closed collection, you can use the same requesting method as for borrowed books. 

Click Request.

25. Select the pick-up location and click Request.

Once the book arrives at the library, you will receive a pick-up notification.

26. Now you know how you can use Oria to reserve loaned books and request materials from closed collections.
