3. Type what you are looking for into the search field, for example a book title or an author's name.

4. Then click the Search button to execute the search.

5. You will be presented with a list of results that match your search.

The list will contain variety of resources, but mainly articles and books.

6. If what you are looking for is hard to find on the results list, you can narrow down the search using filtering options on the right.

7. Since we're searching for a book in this example, we can narrow the results by applying the resource type filter for Books.

8. At this point, the list of results shows items available at the Bergen University Library

If a book is not listed, it means that UiB does not own it. However, a different institution in the network may have this title in its collection.

9. To check whether the book is available at other university or college libraries in Norway, we need to change the search scope from local to the network catalogue.

10. To change the search scope, click on the scope setting in the search field.

Then select Norwegian Academic Libraries in the menu.

11. There are at least six editions of the book available in the network. Click the link at the bottom of the record to view the list of all editions.

12. Once you have found the desired book in the list, click on the title to view more details and place an interlibrary loan request.

13. To order the book, you must be logged in to Oria. You can log in using the Sign in button in the "Get It" section.

14. Choose the appropriate login for you.  See the tutorial on logging in to Oria if you are unsure.

15. Once you are logged in, click on the "Request loan / Copy" button.

16. Check the information in the request form and select the desired pick-up location.

You can also add a comment if you wish.

17. Then click the Request button to send the order.

18. You will receive a message that the order has been registered

When the book has arrived at the library, you will receive a pick-up notification via email or text message.

20. Oria's catalog is quite extensive, but some titles may still be missing. If you cannot find what you are looking for in Oria, you can use the "Order" form in the top menu.

21. You can use the form to request books or articles. Simply fill in the required details about the document. The more information you provide, the easier it will be for us to locate it.

22. To order an article, enter the article title, journal title, author, publication year and issue.

If you know the DOI number of the article, please provide it as well.

23. Check if the pickup location is on your campus and adjust it, if necessary.

24. You can also add a comment if you wish.

25. Click the Request button to fulfill the order.

26. You will then receive a message that the order has been registered.

27. An overview of your orders can be found under the Requests tab in "My account".

28. From there you have the option to cancel orders you no longer need.

29. Now you know how to order materials from other institutions in Oria.
