1. On your flow overview, you'll see the flows you're associated with as an assessor.
2. In addition, here you will be able to find Demo flows, where you can try out the assessment tools and grading process.
3. The demo flow is a FLOWassign where students submit a written assignment. However, the grading process is the same as e.g. for an oral
examination. Select Overview to get back to the flow overview. |
4. Select the flow where you want to give your assessment.
Flows where the 'Marking period' status is marked with a green arrow are open for assessment. |
5. On the flow front page, you can see the Marking period and you must submit your assessments before it expires. You cannot submit assessments after it has expired. |
6. At the bottom of the flow front page, you can see a list of students (participants). If anonymised, they will appear as randomly assigned numbers. |
7. In the Submitted-column you may see who
have submitted If there is a paper icon next to the check box (as is the case for student 3), it means that the student has submitted a blank paper. |
8. You will also be able to see if some students have already received an administrative assessment, if for instance they have submitted a blank paper, have left the exam or have been absent.
9. If you would like to download the assignments to your computer and/or enter your assessments via an Excel spreadsheet, you can select Offline marking.
See separate guide: "Submit assessment (offline via Excel sheet)" |
10. Please note that some students may have an individual assessment deadline.
In that case, there will be a light blue box at the assessment deadline.
11. In this case, you will be able to see the individual assessment deadline in the list of students.
12. Select Open the marking overview to register and submit assessments directly in the system.
13. At the top, you can see the Marking progress.
It indicates in green how many students have been assessed (e.g. three in this example).
The grey part of the bar is the students who still need grading.
14. The students who have received an administrative assessment will be inactive for assessors.
15. Select the Grade field next to a student to register or submit an assessment.
16. Select a grade from the dropdown menu.
17. If you select Enter, the system will save your assessment, but it has not yet been submitted.
You may for instance only enter your own assessment if you have not yet agreed upon the final assessment with your co-examiner.
18. The assessment will now appear as Entered, but not yet submitted in the bar 'Marking progress'.
19. If the grade is final, you may choose to press Submit immediately.
20. If your co-assessor has also submitted their grade, and you have submitted the same one, the grade will now be green and have a check mark next to it. In that case, the grade is final and submitted to STADS. The mark is thus visible to the student. |
21. If there is a discrepancy between your assessment and that of your co-examiner, the grade will be red and will have a red warning triangle next to it. It will also appear in the status bar at the top. See also guide: "Conflicting grades". |
22. If you have submitted a grade, but your co-examiner has not submitted one yet, your assessment will have a padlock next to it.
23. You may continue to enter your
grades and finally submit all at once. To do this, select Submit all. The number on the button indicates how many assessments can be submitted.
24. Select Confirm to submit the assessments.
25. You will then see an overview that shows that five assessments have been submitted because they have been submitted by both you and your co-assessor.
The rest is e.g. awaiting your co-examiner's assessment or your agreement. Select Close to get back. |
