1. The first step is to open Teaching with AI in the N E I U Libraries catalog and clicking the link that reads "Ebook Central Titles - AutoHoldings"

2. Click Username and enter your N E I U NetID. Don't enter your full email address or ID number -- just the NetID, which is typically your first initial, middle initial, and last name. Sometimes there is an additional number at the end.

3. Enter the password you use to login with your NetID. It will be the same as the one for NMail, NEIUport, D2L, etc.

4. Click Read Online for easiest access.

5. Or, if you'd prefer to use an ebook reader, install Adobe Digital Editions. That will allow you to download the book as PDF or EPUB. (You must use this option to download or print more than 100 pages.)

To do that, click Download Book

6. Select the type of device you will be using to read the ebook.

7. Click Continue

8. Click Get Adobe Digital Editions.

You may login with your Adobe ID or download the software without linking it to an Adobe ID.

9. Scroll down and click the appropriate installer. If a desktop or laptop, select Macintosh or Windows.

10. Return to Ebook Central and click Done with this step ›

11. Select either EPUB or PDF format.

EPUB allows the page to resize and scroll and is most similar to reading a print book.   

PDF is pre-formatted and is a good choice for printing

12. Click Download

13. If reading online, navigate to Chapter 1 by clicking the arrow next to Part I Thinking with AI.

14. Click Chapter 1 AI Basics to begin reading.

15. Repeat for Chapter 2 A New Era of Work, or just continue scrolling through the book.
