1. Navigate to your Brightspace course and click Course Activities.

2. Click Quizzes
|
|
3. Some of your quizzes may have the phrase (YuJa Verity Test Proctoring) in the name. This means that the Quiz will be proctored by Verity. Click on the quiz. |

4. If you have not setup Verity, you will be prompted for a password for the quiz.
|
|
5. If you try to click Start Quiz, a window with a video explaining how to download the Verity Browser Extension will pop up.
|
|
6. To download the Verity Browser Extension, click Course Tools.
|
|
7. Click Verity Proctoring
|
|
8. This will open the Verity Portal. Click the My Account Icon in the top right corner of the page. |

9. Click User Setup
|
|
10. Click Browser Extension
|
|
11. The first step to Set Up Your YuJa Verity Test Proctoring Experience is to ensure you are using a Supported Browser. Verity currently supports Chrone, Firefox, Edge, Brave, and Opera (as of 2/26/2026). |

12. Once you are using a Supported Browser, click Download Extension. For the rest of this tutorial, we will show how to download Verity in Google Chrome. |

13. Click Add to Chrome
|
|
14. Click Add Extension
|
|
15. Wait for the browser extension to download and install.
|
|
16. To use the Verity Browser Extension, you must enable it in Ingocnito Mode/Private Browsing. These steps will vary slightly based on what browser you are using. For this tutorial, we are using Google Chrome. |

17. In Chrome, click the Extensions Icon (a Puzzle Piece).
|
|
18. Click the three dots next to the Yuja Verity Chrome Extension.
|
|
19. Click Manage extension
|
|
20. Toggle Allow in Incognito to be ON/Enabled.
|
|
21. You are now set up to use Verity for online proctoring!
|

22. That's it. You're done.
