1. Select the flow you want to assess.

2. Select the button Start marking to open the marking tool. The button is labeled Resume marking if you have already been marking.

3. The Marking tool opens automatically on a random student/group or the one you have most recently visited. You can see more about the student/group by selecting the box with the student's name or participant index number on the top left.

4. Here you can, for instance see the submission information, your co-examiners and the submission's cover sheet. Select View cover sheet to see the cover sheet.

5. The cover sheet opens as a pop-up window where you can see more information about the exam. You can also see any information provided by the student. Select Close to return to the Marking tool.

6. You can turn the display of a text similarity report on and off by using the slider (toggle button) called Similarity score.

7. Here the display of a text similarity report is turned on.

8. Select Participants (can also be 'Groups' depending on the flow setttings) on the left to see the other students/groups on the flow.

9. Here you can see all the students/groups on the flow. You can also see whether they have already received an assessment.

10. You can now see the student's submission. You can add comments and annotations directly in the submission.

11. Select the Submission button to open and close the sidebar for the submission overview.

12. If the student has submitted appendices to his/her answer, you can select them on the right side of the screen on the Submission Overview. Select the arrow on the appendix to open it as a preview file in a new browser tab.

13. Select the Feedback button to open and close the sidebar for the Submission Feedback.

14. When selecting the Feedback button, you can view and submit feedback to the submission.

15. Select the Grade button to open and close the sidebar for the place to provide a grade for the submission.

16. When selecting the Grade button you can give your assessment. Here, you can select a grade from the dropdown menu.

17. Select Submit to submit your grade.

18. Select Submit again. If necessary, you can write an internal audit note.

19. You have now submitted your grade, but maybe it has not been finally submitted to the student administration system. This depends on whether your co-assessor has submitted the same grade.

20. Select Common Feedback to give or see other co-assessor's shared feedback to all the participants.

22. Select the Toggle navigation panel in the lower-left corner to toggle the navigation panel on and off. Here you can switch between participants and documents/ files.

23. Here you can switch between students/ participants.

24. Here you can switch between participant’s documents/ files.

Select Back to exit the Marking tool.

26. Select Back to exit the Marking tool.
